I specialize in vibrant natural and abstract painting. I enjoy exploring a range of subjects and find inspiration by working playfully and experimentally. I have worked in a variety of mediums and I often let my mood, or interest in specific imagery determine my next project.
Color especially excites my senses and makes the simplest subject radiate energy. I recreate light and reflections with thinned paint or layer it heavily to add patterns and texture. I also seek visual patterns in my life that evoke a special meaning. Whether it is a location, a specific animal or sunset, I gravitate towards depicting subjects that keep showing up in my life.
I am currently living in Gray TN where I have loved to find new inspiration from the beautiful people, culture and landscape of this area.

TeachingI love working with art students of all ages. I have worked in a variety of educational settings including all levels of public school, community centers and private art lessons. I have created a range of art installations and projects like painted and mosaic murals, art exhibitions and special events. I have been fortunate to have the opportunity to teach art abroad in Cambodia, participate in a Paul J. Getty internship and study/mentor with several inspirational master artists and educators.

Artwork FAQ's and Purchasing Information
Thank you for your interest in my artwork. This is a guide about my process, materials and purchasing information.
QUALITY:
All original artwork is made from professional grade and long lasting paints, mediums and varnishes. This ensures that all work will remain true to its color for a lifetime.
My canvases wrap around the back of the artwork and do not show staples. The thickness of the support used is indicated on each work under Depth.
I use quality shipping materials and carefully wrap each artwork to ensure it will arrive in excellent condition.
The back of the work will be signed and dated. A Certificate of Authenticity is included.
The painting will come unframed if it is on canvas. A simple mat or frame is included for paper artwork.
CONSULTATION: I would be happy to provide consultation for matting and framing and even placement of the artwork.
CUSTOM ORDERS: I will work with all clients to discuss any artworks that you would like me to create. These include meeting in person or online and creating sketches. Price ranges based on size, content and complexity. Contact me for details.
SHIPPING/POLICIES: Shipping costs range depending on size and destination. If there are any damage issues please reach out to me.
